Cathie Lucarelli's husband passed away this week. Cathie is the director of St. Thomas in Rocky River. We lift up Cathie and her entire family in our prayers. May the Good Lord provide the peace, comfort, and care that only He can give.
Can you please keep little Effie and family in your prayers.
Effie is the newborn daughter of a co-worker of our member Travis Custer.
Baby Effie stopped breathing on her own last night, she was immediately intubated. Both Effie and mom where transported downtown to Children's Hospital at Erlanger.
Effie had a CT scan and was diagnosed with a Subdural Hemotoma.
A subdural hematoma is a collection of blood in the space between the outer and middle layers of the covering of the brain.
She has become unresponsive overnight.
Tests this morning show brain damage is currently in severe range.
They are starting a treatment where they cool her body
down to the hypothermia range.
There is no way to know outcome
or lasting effects after this treatment.
This will be weeks of recovery.
Mom is being discharged today.
There is currently nothing that can be done
for baby Effie
other than pray.
Please pray for Billy Chafin (sister of our member Bobby Chafin). Billy is a cancer survivor. Her doctors found that her cancer has returned and she is hospitalized with testing and other complication. Having survived cancer before - she knows the battle that is ahead of her. Please pray for healing, comfort, and the peace that passes all understanding. Pray that she can feel God's loving arms protecting her.
Please keep Laura's family in your prayers as they learn to live without her.
